The Shaughnessy Shoe
I first met Rebecca from Aston baby when she launched her site Astonbaby.com, the perfect place to find unique and beautiful items for those little babes in your life!
Since then she has released her own design of shoes for girls, the sweetest mary janes you ever did see, and I am truly obsessed! When you don’t want to go too casual or too dressed up, these “best shoes” are..well…the best!
Made from beautiful feeling leather and with soft suede bottoms, these too-cute-shoes come in 4 different colors that really would go with any outfit! They easily go on, and are so soft and comfortable for those little feet we love!
I asked Rebecca to share a little bit more:
Congrats on releasing your Baby Shoes! What sparked the idea for the shoes?
Thank you! I couldn’t find shoes that I loved for my girls or our shop. I wanted something simple, versatile and timeless once they grew out of their crib shoes but kept coming across options that were a bit much for this minimalist mama.
How long have you been making these adorable shoes?
We just got our first order made in October, so they brand new! The design was in the works for a long time as we perfected the design but I am so happy with the end result.
Do you have a favourite color?
I love the red! I love adding a pop of colour to a simple outfit, and they always give me the magical feeling that we are heading to Oz!
What inspired the look of these shoes?
I had a pair similar for my first daughter but one of them got lost on a trip to London (I still have the single shoe just in case its partner finds its way back to us) but when I tried to replace them I couldn’t find anything similar.
Whats your favourite outfit to pair the best baby shoes with?
I love a cute romper for the summer or a skirt with cable knit leggings for winter.
Will you be adding anymore of your own designs to the shop?
Yes! We are looking to extend our shoe range into new colours for Spring, and a new style for next year!
Whats next for Astonbaby.com?
Not sure exactly, but more shoes and more supporting new moms are at the top of the list. Another thing I also have a passion for is supporting and empowering Moms who start their own businesses, not sure what that might look like yet!
Thanks Rebecca for sharing!
